 RALPH FLORO

Creative and Passionate

I'm Ralph Floro, a professional editor and filmmaker living in Toronto.

From an early age, I’ve had a passion for creating and telling stories through the art of film. Whether it be through slapstick beer commercials or dramatic family documentaries, conveying raw human emotion through film is my first priority.

Over the years I’ve been fortunate enough to study at not one, but three prestigious film schools including, McMaster University, Toronto Film School, and Seneca. Each offered something unique, helping me broaden my experience and fine-tune my abilities as a storyteller.

As an editor at Married to Giants, J. Walter Thompson Post Production, MDF Productions and Grip LTD, my abilities to succeed in high-stress environments have been put to the ultimate test. In these settings, I’m often relied on to take control of artistic direction, at which time my comprehensive knowledge of Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve and other animating tools prove highly beneficial.

Along the way, I’ve garnered some extra attention including multiple Trailer Park Awards as well as Marketing Gold for an Amnesty International spot I worked on called "If Someone is watching".

From commercials to short films, documentaries to movie trailers, working with clients to create the most dynamic and inspiring pieces of art is what I'm all about. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you on the next great story.

“It’s the editor who orchestrates the rhythm of the images, and that is the rhythm of the dialogue, and of course the rhythm of the music. For me, the editor is like a musician, and often a composer.”

- Martin Scorcese
